Cathy is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor and holds dual licenses in the State of California (AMFT #161189/APCC #22918). She works with clients in person in Pasadena and provides telehealth throughout California.

Cathy's primary focus is working with high-achieving individuals and professionals experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, and/or perfectionism. She also supports parents juggling demanding careers and those experiencing relationship distress. In addition, Cathy is passionate about working with BIPOC folks, particularly first and second generation immigrants in the Asian American community experiencing intergenerational trauma and cultural identity challenges.

Cathy is an attachment-based, psychodynamic, and relational therapist who is utilizes EMDR, IFS (Internal Family Systems), and EFT (Emotionally-Focused Therapy) to support her clients. She is a culturally-attuned, genuine, and intentional therapist who creates a nonjudgmental space where her clients feels seen, supported, and encouraged to grow.

Cathy received her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Northridge and is receiving clinical supervision from Lisa Bohacek.

Cathy speaks fluent Korean and prior to becoming a therapist, she was a practicing attorney.
